Cindy woke me up at 5am in the morning exclaiming that she was bleeding heavily.. We thought something bad had happened to baby.. Therefore Cindy quickly wash up and I rushed over to Thomson Medical Centre..
We wanted to go to the emergency unit but was however adviced by the nurses to go to delivery ward. Reason is that baby was overdue for one week (Estimated Delivery Date: 18 August 2008) The nurses checked on Cindy and say that she is ready for labour. We quickly contact Dr Loke and after hours of waiting, he finally arrived at around 9am.
This time, Dr Loke broke her waterbag and put her in the labour ward. Cindy quickly got her epidural injection before the contraction pains start. After a few hours, baby Darius Joseph New finally arrived.. :)
The hungry mummy asked for the famous Chicken Rice at Novena right after her delivery.. She didnt had anything since 5am.. I rushed down straight away to get her food for all her hard work and carrying our baby for the past 9 months.
Cindy stayed in a one-person suite and I accompanied her throughout her 3 days stay. The room is fully equipped like a hotel room and we had pre-ordered meals everyday. I didnt know that delivery can be so fun.. The doctors, nurses and helpers of Thomson Medical Centre are always so helpful and willing to share their experiences with us.
